Korex’ advanced AMD server architecture enabled by NETINT for live and file-based video encoding
Vancouver, British Columbia, October 8, 2020 – NETINT Technologies, an innovator of computational storage and video processing SoC (System on Chip) solutions today announced the deployment of its advanced video encoding technology in the Korex Cloud.

Korex’ cloud compute infrastructure utilizes AMD CPU based servers coupled with NETINT’s Codensity™ T408 technology that features real-time, high-quality, scalable transcoding. Each Codensity T408 Video Transcoder module features ASIC-based H.264 AVC and H.265 HEVC video processing enabling high quality transcoding of up to 32 streams as well as HDR, 4K and 8K processing.
Codensity T408 Video Transcoders feature a U.2 module form factor enabling both a high-density encoding architecture as well as a simple drop in upgrade to existing servers. To simplify integration into existing systems, the T408 features support for FFmpeg, an open-source toolkit for processing video and audio.
To address growing scheduled and on-demand streaming and file-based encoding requirements, Korex’ cloud computing platform features the ability to rapidly spin up compute resources as required to meet immediate processing needs. Korex’ Codensity T408 enabled compute platform features unique capabilities optimized for video encoding applications including real-time, low latency encoding making the Korex compute platform ideal for applications including live streaming events, news programming and video-on-demand (VOD).
